STEAM Resources: Story Design Kits

What are Story Design Kits?

Story Design kits support STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) initiatives by using stories in some of our favorite books. These kits are  designed by Barnes and Noble and include one copy of the book, the directions for use and blackline masters for copying for students in grades K-8. We currently have 23 kits available for checkout.  Some kits have included technology components.  Please check the kit description and materials list to determine what you need to successfully use the kit in your classroom.

How Can I Use Them?

The HCPS Technology Department is proud to present our new Story Design checkout kits purchased by the Curriculum and Instruction Department! Kits are available for checkout for HCPS teachers for use in their classrooms for 2 weeks. (These 2 weeks include delivering to and from the school via courier.) Use the calendar of availability and the checkout form to checkout one of these 21 kits. Enjoy introducing STEAM activities to the students in your classroom!
