Administration

School BuildingThe Henderson County Public School system is governed by a seven member Board. The Henderson County Board of Public Education has general control and supervision of all matters pertaining to the public schools within the administrative unit. All decision making authority not specifically reserved for the Board of Public Education or specifically delegated by these policies or by state law or regulation is delegated to the chief administrative officer, the Superintendent of Schools, for administrative decision making.

In our 13 elementary schools, four middle schools, four high schools, early college and education center, the school principal oversees school operations, aided by assistant principals and lead teachers.
