Secondary Education
Welcome to HCPS Secondary Education homepage. We have four middle schools, four traditional high schools, one alternative school and one early college.
Our middle schools offer environments that promote positive academic and emotional adolescent development. At all middle schools you will find inter-disciplinary studies, co-teaching, collaborative teams and an emphasis on the whole child. All of our middle schools have been recognized as “Schools to Watch”, a national distinction that honors schools that are academically excellent, developmentally responsive and socially equitable.
Our high schools offer students a variety of classes and experiences that prepare them to be college and career ready in the 21st century. Schools offer 21st century skills which encompass a wide use of technology, global awareness, civic responsibility and collaborative learning. All high schools have received honors in academics, athletics and the arts.
