How You Can Help

We deeply appreciate the generous contributions from churches, individuals, and community partners who support our students experiencing homelessness. Your kindness helps ensure that every student has what they need to succeed.

In-Kind Donations

Below is a list of commonly requested items:

  •  Gas or Grocery Cards
  •  Toilet Paper and Paper Towels
  •  Deodorant
  •  Kitchen items (can openers, paper plate, paper cups, etc.)
  • Laundry detergent, dish soap
  • Self inflating air mattresses and sheets

College Assistance Fund

Many graduating students lack the financial means to purchase essential items not covered by financial aid. Dorm supplies, housing fees, transportation, textbooks, and school materials can be costly “extras” that make continuing education difficult. Without additional support, some students may become discouraged and at risk of dropping out.

The Henderson County Public Schools College Assistance Fund assists students in these situations. Donations made to this fund directly benefit youth experiencing homelessness who are pursuing a post-secondary education.
