CAMP FEES DESCRIPTION
Realizing that families have different abilities to pay, Historic Johnson Farm is instituting a voluntary three-tier fee program for camps in 2023. Individuals who donate to the organization’s Farm Fund as well as the families who can pay the highest tier pricing make it possible for us to offer a lower rate for those families who can’t afford rising prices in a tough economy.
The ultimate goal is to keep camp accessible for everyone who wants to come. If you want to be at camp, we want you to be at camp, regardless of finances. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your family. It is really an honor system; you tell us what is affordable for your family. All campers receive the same camp experience no matter what they pay.
When you register for camp, simply select the option that best matches your financial means, and continue with the checkout process as usual. No need to apply for lower pricing tiers; no explanations necessary. The tier you select is completely confidential, and does not alter your child’s experience at camp in the slightest.
Tier 1: $100-is our subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating camp programs.
Tier 2: $150-is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still cannot afford the actual cost of camp.
Tier 3: $200-more closely accounts for the true costs of camp including supplies and wear and tear of buildings and grounds.
Middle School Farm Camp-registration opens March 1
Middle School Camp will be held July 31-August 4. Campers will participate in a number of different activities relating to the farm, arts, environment, and more! On Friday, campers will offer tours of the farm to family and friends. New this year: we are going on two adventures! Wednesday and Thursday we will be off-site at two local historic sites. We will transport campers in a Henderson County Public Schools bus. Campers should bring a snack and lunch each day of camp. Space is limited, so sign up now!
