Spring Farm School

The May session of Farm School will focus on healthy living! Participants will do hands-on activities relating to healthy eating, the food groups, nutrition facts, physical fitness, and exercise.

$50 for the 4 week session; a Square invoice will be sent once this form is received. Payment is due by April 15.

Tuesdays May 7, 14, 21, 28 forĀ ages 5-9*. 2:00-3:30 PM.

Thursdays May 9, 16, 23, 30 forĀ ages 9*-13. 2:00-3:30 PM.

Mother’s Day Market May 11, 10 AM-4 PM

Visit the farm for the 4th Annual Mother’s Day Market Craft Fair! Over 25 local crafters will be selling their handmade items. The Heritage Weavers & Fiber Artists will have demonstrations, and the historic farm house will be open for visitors to explore. Farm gardeners will have a number of different plants for sale. Hot dog meals will be available for purchase. Parking will be across the street at Rugby Middle School, and volunteers from the Sheriff’s Office will help guests cross the street. Handicapped parking available at the farm.

Campers will learn to take care of the farm animals!

Historic Johnson Farm will once again offer Farm & Arts Camp this summer on June 17-21 and July 1-5 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM each day. Campers will participate in a number of different activities relating to the farm, arts, the environment, and more! The week will culminate in a showcase Friday afternoon where campers will share their creations and learnings with family and friends. Campers should bring a snack and lunch each day.

When: Week #1 June 17-21 and Week #2 July 1-5 (the weeks are identical to allow more kids to come each week) from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM each day
Who: CurrentĀ  (school year 2023-2024) kindergarteners-5th graders (roughly ages 6-11).

We will offer an extended day option from 2:30-5:00 PM Monday-Thursday for $60. Please mark on the registration if you would like to sign up for extended day.

Middle School Camp will be held July 15-19. Campers will participate in a number of different activities relating to the farm, arts, environment, and more! On Friday, campers will offer tours of the farm to family and friends.Ā  For two days, we will be off-site at two local historic sites. We will transport campers in a Henderson County Public Schools bus. Campers should bring a snack and lunch each day of camp. Space is limited, so sign up now! Registration will open March 1!
