HCPS Operating on Regular Schedule (No Buses on Icy Roads) Thursday, February 5, 2026

This is Mark Garrett, Superintendent of Henderson County Public Schools, calling with what has become your daily update.

It was wonderful to see our yellow buses back on the roads and have our campuses come alive with students today.
At this time, Henderson County Public Schools will operate on a REGULAR SCHEDULE tomorrow, Thursday, February 5, 2026, with no buses traveling on any remaining icy roads.
Our teams will be out again in the early morning hours to check road conditions just in case anything comes of the forecasted chance of overnight precipitation. If any changes to Thursday’s schedule are needed, we will communicate with families in the morning.
In your email and on the HCPS website, you will find a list of roads that buses will not be traveling on. Please be reminded that the list does not include every single minor road that may also be impacted. If you live on a road that is still significantly impacted by snow and ice, count on it as being one that the bus will not travel tomorrow morning.
Once again, HCPS will operate on a REGULAR SCHEDULE, Thursday, February 5, 2026.

En este momento, las Escuelas Públicas del Condado de Henderson operarán en horario regular mañana, jueves 5 de febrero de 2026, sin servicio de autobús en carreteras con hielo.
Nuestros equipos saldrán nuevamente en la madrugada para verificar las condiciones de las carreteras en caso de que se presente alguna precipitación durante la noche, como se pronostica. Si se necesitan cambios en el horario del jueves, nos comunicaremos con las familias por la mañana.
