Dear Parent/Guardian,
At Henderson County Public Schools, we use Google Workspace for Education to support student learning. This includes tools like Gmail, Docs, Calendar, and Google Classroom.
We’re asking for your permission to create (or retain) and manage a Google account for your child. Students will use this account to complete assignments, communicate with teachers, access learning materials, and build important digital skills.
Please review the account consent notice linked below, which explains how Google handles student information, as well as the Chromebook User Agreement, which outlines acceptable use guidelines, device care responsibilities, and fees for damage or loss. Information regarding optional accident insurance is also included in the agreement. After reviewing both sections of this agreement document, sign the Parent Consent sheet to acknowledge and provide your consent. This can be completed digitally using the link below, or you may obtain a printed copy from your child’s school.
HCPS Google Account Consent & Chromebook User Agreement
If you choose not to give consent, your child will complete alternate (mostly paper-based) assignments and will not be able to use our online learning tools or devices. This may limit their classroom participation and access to digital learning experiences that are key to developing future-ready skills.
For students who already have an HCPS Google Account but whose consent form has not been completed, accounts will be disabled on the following dates:
Flex Calendar Students: Friday, July 18th, 2025
Traditional and Early College Calendar Students: Friday, August 8th, 2025
