Important Update: PowerSchool Cybersecurity Incident
Henderson County Public Schools takes the privacy and security of student and staff data very seriously. As required by the state, we utilize PowerSchool as our Student Information System (SIS). Recently, PowerSchool experienced a cybersecurity incident impacting its global client base, including Henderson County Public Schools. This breach, caused by compromised credentials of a PowerSchool contract employee, involved unauthorized access to student and staff data. PowerSchool has assured us that the threat has been contained, the data has been destroyed, and there is no evidence of operational disruption. While this breach was outside the control of Henderson County Public Schools, we remain committed to advocating for the safety and privacy of our students and staff during this time.
