Flu immunization clinics open for Henderson County families

Henderson County Public Schools is partnering with the Henderson County Department of Public Health to host after-school flu vaccination clinics at high schools across the county. These clinics are open to all Henderson County families with students in grades K-12. Each clinic will take place from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at the following locations:

  • North Henderson High School Cafeteria – October 7, 4–6 p.m.
    35 Fruitland Road, Hendersonville
  • East Henderson High School Cafeteria – October 9, 4–6 p.m.
    110 Upward Road, East Flat Rock
  • West Henderson High School Cafeteria – October 16, 4–6 p.m.
    3600 Haywood Road, Hendersonville
  • Hendersonville High School Media Center – October 20, 4–6 p.m.
    1 Bearcat Boulevard, Hendersonville

Adults and children who are uninsured or underinsured are welcome.

Why the Flu Vaccine Matters

  • Flu vaccination is recommended each year for everyone 6 months and older.
  • Vaccination reduces flu illness, doctor visits, and missed school/work.
  • Even if you still get the flu, vaccination usually makes symptoms milder and lowers the risk of hospitalization.
  • Protecting yourself also helps protect family, classmates, and neighbors from getting sick.

Insurance or Medicaid card if available
No past vaccine records needed

Flu shots and nasal spray options will be available.
