Mr. John Hart

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Glenn C. Marlow Elementary School! For the last 8 years, it has been my honor to serve as your principal where our standard for excellence is second to none. From our students, teachers, staff members, parents, community members, leaders, and everyone in between, the Glenn Marlow Elementary School community is committed to having each child achieve success. I am continually impressed and inspired with the dedication and passion that each person shows to fulfill our vision, proving time and time again that Glenn Marlow Elementary School is a special place to learn and grow, and I am so happy to be a part of it.

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Mr. Hart holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Secondary Education in Mathematics from Appalachian State University and a Master’s in School Administration from Gardner-Webb University. He has been in education for 22 years, serving as teacher, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, and a Principal.

Mr. Hart and his wife, Lori, live in Horse Shoe, with their two children, Sydney (15) and Katie (12), and their dog, Ridley. He enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family and friends, being outside, and eating good food.
