For over 20 years, Box Tops for Education has given families an easy way to earn cash for their school, with products they already buy. Now you can simply scan your store receipt with the Box Tops mobile app to identify participating products and instantly add cash to your school’s earnings online. If you have products at home with Box Tops, which can still be cut out, we encourage you to cut them out and drop them off at the school.  This program has always been a HUGE win for HES resulting in yearly earnings of anywhere between $550 – $1,000.

Coke Rewards

We’re excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This opens up Hendersonville Elementary School to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for students. The best part? Donations don’t come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases, you simply enter the product codes and our school receives a donation.

You know the saying…”One man’s trash, another one’s treasure?”  This couldn’t be more true when it comes to the earnings we receive thru this program.  In the 2019-2020 school year HES received over $400 just from families turning in the bottle tops of participating Coke products as well as the codes from inside the cases of participating products.  It’s super easy, you can take a picture of the codes yourself and “donate” them to Hendersonville Elementary School or you can collect the bottle tops and turn them into the HES office and we have plenty of parents who will get the codes uploaded for you.

Link your Grocery Cards

If you haven’t already please re-link your Ingles Advantage Card to their Tools for Schools program.  Thanks to Ingles and all of you that linked your Ingles Advantage cards to Hendersonville Elementary, in previous years our school has received credits of over $3,000 to spend in their amazing catalogue filled with all kinds of school supplies and interactive STEM resources!!!!

Also, please re-link your Harris Teeter VIC cards to Hendersonville Elementary. This past year our earnings from Harris Teeter were over $1,000.  For those of you who don’t know Harris Teeter branded products, when purchased, earn HES more money than many name brand products.

HES is also part of of the Publix Partners program.  Simply sign up for a account, click Publix Partners, and select Hendersonville Elementary School. Then enter your phone number every time you check out. Publix will give back to HES.

2020 Cubcat Crawl

Each year, Cubcats Run And Walk for Learning (CRAWL) all in an effort to support the needs of Hendersonville Elementary School. If you are new to HES, the Cubcat CRAWL has been a fun, family-friendly 3 mile race that is typically held in August of each new school year, and serves as the PTO’s largest fundraiser of the year.

But as with most everything else in 2020, this year’s event experience will be different from what we have grown to love. After much discussion and consideration, the 8th Annual Cubcat CRAWL is going to be held virtually. Students and families will be encouraged to run, jog, or walk three miles at a time and place of your choice. Run at a local park, walk on a treadmill, or jog the actual CRAWL course after school hours or on the weekends (maps will be provided). This year your family has the flexibility to participate in any way that best suits your preferences and comfort levels.

Yes, the HES PTO is hosting this virtual event as our primary fundraiser for the year, but we also want to create an experience that encourages families to stay physically active during this time of social distancing. Physical activity is imperative for both our mental and physical well-being. For this reason, there is no cost for students or family members to participate in the virtual run, and thanks to the generosity of our amazing sponsors, each student currently enrolled at HES will receive a race t-shirt at no cost. Race shirts for adults and other family members will be available for purchase, as will festive medals (which will double as Christmas ornaments!) that your family can enjoy as a unique souvenir of this year’s virtual experience.

How can we make the Virtual Cubcat CRAWL a fun, memorable experience for our children?!
1- CEREMONIAL FINISH LINE PHOTO OP- Your family can run, jog, or walk your 3-mile race at any time or location that you would like between now and December 18th, but from Wednesday, December 9th-Sunday, December 13th, your family can stop by HES after school hours or over the weekend to celebrate your accomplishment with a photo of yourselves under the ceremonial Finish Line. Post photos on this 8th Annual Cubcat CRAWL Facebook event page!
2- CHRISTMAS CRAWL SPIRIT CONTEST- Cubcats have spirit, yes they do! Post pictures of your child and/or family running in Christmas colors or festive attire (elves, Santa, reindeer, etc) and post on this 8th Annual Cubcat CRAWL Facebook event page so we can see who has the most spirit. Prizes will be awarded for the Most Original, Funniest, and because this year we can run with our pets, there will be an award for the Most Festive Fur!

This year, your generous support is more important than ever before! There are several ways you can help:
BUSINESS SPONSORSHIPS (Goal- $15,000): Join many other Cubcat family businesses as a sponsor of this year’s event. Sponsorship forms can be found on our Membership Toolkit website, in the front office of the school, or they can be emailed to you by contacting the PTO at To guarantee that your business name and/or logo can be printed on the race t-shirt, please confirm your sponsorship level by next Friday, November 20th.

STUDENT SPONSORSHIPS (Goal- $3,250): We are once again inviting Cubcats to secure individual mile sponsors for their virtual race (or flat donations) which will help the PTO achieve its goal in a fun and interactive way using either the paper tracking form or with the online platform of 99pledges. Each student may use their own personalized 99pledges giving share site, links to the site will be emailed to parents. You are in complete control of your child’s site, and we encourage you to send it to family and friends (especially all the ones that live out of town or are in quarantine) for student sponsorships. Donations may be paid online electronically or may be given in cash and/or checks made payable to HES PTO. Even if your family cannot complete the 3 miles outside of school, students will be given the opportunity to complete their goal on one of their PE days.

RACE SWAG (Goal- $1,750): Race t-shirts and Christmas ornament medals will be available for purchase. These will be available for sale in the Store of your HES Membership Toolkit account.

All student sponsorship pledges and donations will need to be submitted by Friday, December 18th . All levels of sponsorships and donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, are tax-deductible, and will be used to invest in the students, teachers, and staff at Hendersonville Elementary.

Together, if we are able to achieve the 2020 Cubcat CRAWL Fundraising Goal of $20,000, ALL students will receive a Polar Express themed Pajama Party on Tuesday, December 22nd!!!

Most importantly, by achieving this goal, we will be able to offer support to the students who truly need our help the most, and when one child succeeds, they ALL succeed! If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Kristen at 828-551-0200 or

THANK YOU in advance for your help in making this year’s event a great success, despite the challenges faced by the pandemic!
