Spring has sprung! – Dress Code Reminders

wardrobe pieces in box with dress code reminders text

As we start to experience warmer weather into the spring, it is important that we share reminders about our dress code, which is listed clearly in HCPS Board Policy 4316. Some highlights of the policy that we have seen an uptick in lately include tube tops, spaghetti straps, crop tops, and revealing shorts and skirts. None of these items are allowed. Additionally, we have seen an increase in clothing with drug and alcohol brands or references. These items are also not allowed.

Please help us by helping your child make the right decisions before leaving the house in the morning. We thank you for your cooperation and support in upholding Board Policy.

Eagle of the Week

Ms. R's Entrepreneuership Class in EOTW frame
This week, we are excited to shout out Ms. Rauschenbauch and her amazing Entrepreneurship classes as Eagles of the Week!! They all stepped up to plan and execute our 3rd annual Book Fair — assisting customers, helping set up, running the register, advertising, and even hosting a spirit week and door decorating contest. They were always giving a helping hand, and we are so proud of them. These students went all out and we wanted to give them a huge thanks for making the Book Fair a success – with close to $2000 in sales!!!

On Tuesday, March 10th, East Henderson High School once again hosted the orchestra MPA event at our school. Mrs. Quinn worked tirelessly to plan for and execute this event, and we are so proud of her efforts to put on a great competition! On top of that, she led both the middle school and high school orchestras to incredible success:
–7th grade Orchestra (The youngest musicians to play today!!) received an Excellent (a II!)
–8th Grade Orchestra received a Superior Rating for the 2nd year in a row!–EHHS Orchestra received straight Superiors! All 4 judges gave us superiors!!
band performing at MPA in March 2026

On Thursday, March 12th, our Concert Band traveled to Brevard High School to perform our Band MPA and the ensemble received a rating of Superior (in grade terms, an A)! This is our equivalent to an EOC but instead of being based on individuals, it is a full group effort. The students have been putting in the work throughout the year and more so even with all the snow/ice. Congratulations to these band students and their fantastic leader, Mrs. Morris!

Enjoy the band’s performance HERE.
