DIY Crafts
Students will brainstorm DIY craft projects that they can work on independently.
Key Club
A student-led organization that encourages leadership through service. Kiwanis Club Dues: $13.50
Poke-mon Go Club
We will hunt pokemons around the Blue Ridge Community College campus on a special quest.
FCCLA
(Family, Career, & Community Leaders of America)
FCCLA is a national student organization for Family and Consumer Sciences education. It helps students develop leadership, career, and life skills through hands-on projects, competitive events, and community service
Mock Trial
Uses simulated courtroom trial, to teach students about the legal system and courtroom procedures
Anime Club
We will watch, talk about, and discuss everything anime! There will also be quiz-style games with Japanese-themed prizes!
Survival and Preparedness
Discussion and hands-on activity learning about how to prepare for disaster and survive dangerous situations.
Sketchbook Club
Students will exchange sketchbooks during each club meeting. The goal is for all students to leave in May with a collaborative sketchbook!
Music Club
Students will play a musical instrument of their choice. No prior musical background is required.
Dungeons and Dragons Club
Create characters, write backstories, build storylines, play together on teams
ROV Building
For students interested in building underwater Remote Operating Vehicles ROV, circuit board / soldering / electronics.
Video Game Club
We will play different video games together during scheduled club times on a variety of platforms in my classroom.
Dodgeball Club
Students will get a chance to play dodgeball through various competitions.
Career Academy Yearbook
Career Academy kiddos work together to make our school’s yearbook.
Walking Club
We’ll be walking to different locations around the BRCC campus.
Running Club
This club will learn techniques to improve running skills and work on bettering running times throughout the year.
SGA Early College & Career Academy
(Has some after school meetings)
Friday meetings is for any SGA student from either school to come so school wide events can be communicated and ideas shared.
Soccer
We will play a soccer game each club day or if the weather is bad, watch soccer together on the big screen.
Chess/Board Game Club
We will play chess and other board games at each club meeting.
Young Scientists
(Has some after school meetings)
Students serve as mentors, help present science programs at elementary schools and write pen pal cards.
Newspaper Club
(Has some after school meetings)
Students will brainstorm, write and publish new stories, photos, staff/student profiles, school and local stories of interest.
AIM
(Has some after school meetings)
AIM is our multicultural club that focuses on celebrating the diversity of our school and sharing traditions and cultures of our students and their families.
FCS: Fellowship of Christian Students
Students meet for prayer and Bible Study to spur each other own and grow in their faith.
