Marlow Monday Message, June 5th, 2023

Henderson County Public Schools News

Good evening, Marlow parents and families!

Here we are….the last Marlow Monday Message of the 2022 – 2023 school year!

I am so grateful for all of you and the work you have put in to make this year an outstanding school year. I would like to wish our students, parents, guardians, teachers, and school staff a safe, restful and rewarding summer. I hope you will all get the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends and come back to school with a sense of rejuvenation in the Fall.

#MarlowStrong

Respectfully and with gratitude,

John E. Hart III
Principal

Don’t forget, this Friday is a noon dismissal for students! Happy Summer!

2022-2023 Marlow Yearbooks

This past Friday, students who ordered a 2022-2023 Marlow yearbook received them in class. They turned out amazing, and we want to send a big Marlow shout-out to Ms. Katrina DeVane, our STEM/CPU Specialist, for her work in making this yearbook a great success. So many great pictures and memories, it is truly a great sight to see.

If you did not order a yearbook and would still like to purchase one, we have a limited number for sale through our Front Office. The cost is $30, and you can pay using cash or check.

Please contact Ms. Spray if you are interested. First come, first serve… they are here while they last.

End-of-Year Sign Out Procedures

As we wrap up our school year with EoY events, parties, and graduations, I would like to remind parents of our sign-out procedures here at school, ensuring the safety of all our Buckaroos.

  1. Parents must have their ID with them to sign out a student — no exceptions.
  2. Any parent/adult signing out a student must be on their “Contact” list in PowerSchool to sign out. Again, no exceptions.
  3. If you are volunteering in a classroom and are wanting to take your child home with you, you must first come to the office to sign your child out before we call them up for dismissal.

In the event that a class party/event is at the end of the day, teachers will have sign out sheets with them that you must sign before leaving.

In advance, thank you for following these procedures and keeping our students and staff safe.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Hart directly at jehart@hcpsnc.org.

G3 – G5 EOG Score Reporting

EOG score reports should be available today in the PowerSchool Parent Portal, and parents, you should receive an email indicating so.

Parents must use a desktop or laptop computer to login to their PowerSchool Parent Portal. You cannot use the PowerSchool app to receive the ISR.

Parents should login to the PowerSchool Parent Portal at the Parent Portal Website.

Click on “State Test Reports” under the “Navigation” menu item.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the school.

Come and look…before it’s too late!

For these last few days of the school year, we have moved the Lost and Found out into the main hallway, just before you enter the cafeteria.

Please encourage your child to take a look and claim anything that may be theirs, before it cleared out after school is out.

Parents, you are more than welcome to come in anytime and look!

Library books, lunch charges, and Chromebooks, oh my!
