Picture Day

Pre-K-2 picture day is Tuesday, February 23rd.  K-2 virtual learners can come anytime from 8:30-11:30.

3-5 picture day is Monday, March 1st.  3-5 virtual learners can come anytime between 8:30-11:30.

St. Patrick’s Day Grams

This year we are doing something special to help the  students at our school celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!  Starting today, we will be selling lucky grams that will be delivered to the classrooms from March 8 until March 17. Each lucky gram will include a treat and a special note. Parents and family members can purchase lucky grams for their children, and students can purchase them for their friends and teachers!  Each lucky gram is 50¢ and you may purchase as many as you’d like. Each student will receive an order form and you will have until March 11th to turn in your lucky grams.  Please be sure to print neatly on your order form and send payment along with the order form back to school in an envelope or baggie.

Spirit Week

To celebrate reading and in honor of Dr. Seuss we will have spirit week March 1st-5th.

• Monday – Crazy Sock Day
• Tuesday – Hat Day
• Wednesday – Pajama Day
• Thursday – Wear Your Favorite Color
• Friday – Dress As Your Favorite Book Character

Coin Wars Fundraiser

Students can vote for their favorite Dr. Seuss book next week by putting money in the book’s jar in the school commons area!  The book with the most spare change at the end of the week will be read aloud by The Cat in the Hat on our morning announcements on March 8th.  The funds will go directly to support our school and our students!

Mask Reminder

Please send your child to school with a mask on from home.  All students must wear a mask to school.  We only have a supply of masks in case of emergency if a student forgets one or needs a replacement.  If you have financial reasons for being unable to provide your child with a mask from home, please reach out to Mrs. Amber Brown or Mrs. Susan Garren.

Attendance

Now that all students are either fully in-person or fully virtual, please be aware of how attendance is taken.

Virtual

Virtual students are expected to log in to their Google Classroom and Google Meet each day from 8:00-12:00 and for appointments as scheduled in the afternoons with their teacher.  If students cannot attend from 8:00-12:00 for any reason, they may watch the recordings and complete the assignments later.  In order to be counted present, this must happen within 10 days of the instruction.

In-Person

If a child is attending fully in-person but does not attend school on any day, they will be counted absent for that day.
