Spring Book Fair

We will be having an IN-PERSON Book Fair April 23rd-30th. Current restrictions require us to only allow students to visit during their specials time in the school day. Your child’s teacher will let you know which day(s) your chLogo for the Book Fair that says "Book Fair" and has a bug carrying a bookild will have to visit the Book Fair so that you will know when to send money with them. Families can also set up an eWallet online through the link below. The eWallet allows you (or any family members or friends) to add money to your child’s eWallet for them to use at the Book Fair on campus. You can shop online as well using the link below.

5th Grade Middle School Visits

On Friday this week our 5th graders will be visiting the middle school where they are registered to attend 6th grade in the fall.  We are excited that they will have this opportunity, but we are sad that they are growing up so quickly!

3rd Grade CogAT

On Tuesday, April 27th, we will be administering the CogAT Aptitude test to students in Grade 3.  All 3rd graders must be on-campus to take this assessment.  Mrs. Wells or Mrs. Fender will reach out to parents of our Remote Learners with more information about the testing session at school.

The purposes of aptitude testing are to provide teachers with information for improving and individualizing instruction and to screen students for the Academically and Intellectually gifted (AIG) program.

EOG Dates

We have confirmation of when End of Grade testing will take place for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders.

  • Tuesday, May 18th:  3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Reading EOG
  • Wednesday, May 19th:  3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Math EOG
  • Thursday, May 20th:  5th Grade Science EOG

Attendance for your child is critical on these days.  Please be sure that your student is present on these days and that they arrive on time.

Results for these assessments will come to you via a parent score report no later than one week following the assessment.  For 3rd grade parents, if your child does not pass that Reading EOG and has not already met the requirements for Read to Achieve, you will get a personal phone call from your child’s teacher about next steps.

Click here for more information about the purpose of the EOG tests and other related resources.

Kindergarten Graduation

Kindergarten Graduation will be held in person this year in our gymnasium here at Fletcher.  However, there are CDC and DHHS restrictions that limit the capacity of this event.  There will only be one adult ticket per kindergartener for this graduation ceremony.  Please note the date and time of your kindergartener’s ceremony:

  • Mrs. K. Jones and Mrs. Norman’s Class:  May 26th at 1:30 pm
  • Mrs. Parkhurst and Mrs. Villarreal’s Class:  May 27th at 1:30 pmClipart that says Celebration time with stars and fireworks

5th Grade Graduation

5th Grade Graduation will be a FUN drive-thru celebration again this year!  This event was a HUGE success last year and we are excited to host this again for our 5th graders.

This year’s event will be on May 27th from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm.  Families will drive-thru with their 5th grader while teachers and staff will be outside to cheer for them as they drive forward to middle school!  There will be graduation programs and awards as well.  We encourage families to decorate their cars to make this super special for their rising 6th grader!  We ask that only one vehicle per student drive thru the event, but feel free to gather with other family or friends off campus to celebrate further!
