Important Dates

  • 8th Grade Mentor Training
    • Wednesday, August 17th 8:30-3:30 – Gym
  • 6th Grade Orientation
    • Thursday, August 18th
      • Student drop off between 7:30 and 7:45
      • Parent meeting at 11:30
      • Program ends at 12:00
    • Orientation includes-
      • Meeting and getting to know new 8th grade mentors and Eagle Connection groups
      • Learning about academics and teacher expectations
      • Practicing locker combinations
      • Meeting homeroom teachers
      • Learning about our strings and band programs
      • Tour of the school
      • Learning about the social scene of middle school
      • Media center tour and information session
      • Information about clubs and sports that are available to 6th graders
  • First Day of School:  Monday, August 29th

New URGENT Meal Information

Since the start of the pandemic, all students have benefited from universal free meals.  This has now changed, and school cafeterias will now return to serving meals at a full cost to students, staff, and visitors.

Parents must complete the USDA’s National School Lunch & School Breakfast Programs online form in order to qualify for free or reduced lunch.  Our school benefits from every application we get turned in, so please submit the application even if you do not believe you qualify.

Meal Prices for This School Year:

  • Middle School Lunch = $3.75
  • Middle School Mega Meal = $4.00
  • Breakfast = $1.75

Arrival and Dismissal Times

Students arriving by car may be dropped off between 7:30 and 7:50.

The tardy bell rings at 7:55, and students are dismissed at 3:05.

Students are to be picked up between 3:05 and 3:35.

Dress Code Reminders

Students are expected to dress in a manner that prepares them for success and contributes to a positive learning environment.  Students may NOT wear clothing that compromises safety or creates a disruption to the educational environment.  The dress code will be taught and reviewed during the first two weeks of school.

  • All skirts, shorts, and dresses should have hems that extend to or below the wearer’s fingertips.
  • Pants, skirts, and shorts may only have holes above the fingertips IF legging are worn underneath.
  • Clothing may not display symbols or words that degrade gender or cultural, religious, or ethnic groups.
  • Clothing may not suggest violence, vulgarity, vandalism, sex, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or weapons.
  • Pajamas or sleepwear are prohibited except for specially planned and announced events
  • Leggings or “jeggings” may be worn when paired with a top that covers the wearer’s bottom.
  • Sleeveless tops must have straps that are at least as wide as the short edge of a credit card.
  • Undergarments may not be visible, including undergarment straps.
  • Muscle shirts are prohibited.
  • Clothing material may not be transparent or see-through to any degree.
  • Shirts or dresses must have necklines at or above the top of the wearer’s armpits.
  • All shirts must cover the wearer’s abdomen when their arms are raised.
  • Hats and caps are prohibited inside the building.
  • Bandanas may not be worn on campus.
  • Students who wear hoodies or jackets may not wear the hood over their heads inside the building.
