“A Great Place to Learn”

Atkinson Elementary is located in the southwest part of Henderson County in the Valley Hill district.  Atkinson is set in a wooded locale with a stream flowing through the campus that provides a unique environment.  Students have consistently performed well on standardized assessments and our school has been recognized as a NC School of Distinction and a NC Honor School of Excellence while exceeding expected growth. Students, staff, and families all agree that Atkinson is a community where everyone feels welcome and invited to be actively involved in the learning process. Exciting and new learning opportunities occur each day at Atkinson Elementary School. It truly is “A GREAT PLACE TO LEARN”
