A Word from the Athletic Director

Dear North Henderson Families and Students,

As we enter the back half of the winter sports season, we want to take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of all our athletes. Whether you’re on the basketball court, wrestling mat, or involved in any other winter sport, now is the time to push forward and finish strong. The progress you’ve made so far has been incredible, but it’s the final stretch that often makes all the difference. Keep your focus sharp, stay disciplined, and continue supporting one another as you strive toward your goals. Let’s make sure to close out the winter season with a bang and carry that momentum into the future.

As we usher in the new year, it’s also a great time for new beginnings. One of the best New Year’s resolutions is for students to get involved in sports and support North Henderson High School athletics programs through the Booster Club. The support you provide not only fuels our athletes but also fosters a strong sense of community and school spirit. We encourage families to consider joining the North Henderson Boosters this year to make an impact on the future of our athletic programs.

We also want to remind everyone about our huge Drawdown Fundraiser on March 1st. This event is a critical part of supporting North Henderson athletics, and we need your help! Whether it’s through donations or volunteering your time to help with the event, every bit of support counts. This fundraiser helps provide our athletes with the resources they need to succeed, and we’re counting on all of you to make it a success. Your involvement will make a lasting impact on our athletic programs and ensure that we continue to build a strong and supportive environment for our athletes.

Looking ahead, spring sports are right around the corner! Official practices for spring sports will begin on February 12. Be sure to mark your calendars and keep an eye out for informational meetings in the coming weeks. If you’re interested in joining a spring sport, now is the time to get prepared and start thinking about which sport you’d like to pursue. It’s an exciting time to be part of the North Henderson athletic community, and we can’t wait to see all the energy and enthusiasm that our spring athletes will bring.

As we continue this journey, let’s keep in mind the words of legendary coach Vince Lombardi: “The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary.” Our athletes know that success isn’t just about talent—it’s about the hard work, teamwork, and commitment that lead to greatness. We’re excited for all the opportunities that this year holds, and we’re proud of everything our athletes have already achieved. Let’s finish the winter season strong and gear up for another exciting spring of sports at North Henderson. Stay motivated, stay focused, and as always, go Knights!

Go Knights!

Giving Thanks to our Donors

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Premium sponsors—Pardee, Turf Mountain Sod, Horizon Heating & Air, Frank’s Hardscape, and Parks Ford—
for their exceptional support contribution, and dedication to our community. A special thank you to Parks Ford for their thoughtful teacher gifts at
the start of the school year. Additionally, we are grateful to our Gold sponsors—Bojangles, Apple Country Realty, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and
Mountain Credit Union—for their generous contributions and dedication to our community. Lastly, a big thanks to all the businesses supporting
North Henderson Athletics for their commitment and generosity.
Some of our Knight parent and guardian members likely work at companies that offer corporate giving programs, like matching gifts. Matching gifts
are an underused source of funding for nonprofits, including K-12 schools. When a parent or guardian whose employer has a matching gift program
donates to our school, they can contact their employer to get their gift matched.
This means you can effectively double the impact of your donations. If you are looking to donate to North, inquire about your employer’s matching
gift programs! K-12 schools must be included to qualify.

Want to join NHHS Boosters?

Boosters help support and assist the student-athletes and coaches at North Henderson High School by hosting a variety of fundraisers including the annual Draw Down. For Boosters to function, we need friends, family, and people like you to actively participate by giving some of your time and energy. It’s a great way to meet other parents and support our students and NHHS. All are welcome! No experience is necessary! You can be a part of Boosters even if you are unable to attend all meetings!

A Word from our Booster President

Knight Nation is strong and resilient, after Helene our community came together to help one another. We saw you and your student-athletes
out there helping neighbors in any way you could. Thank you! I am so proud to be a part of this community!
We are grateful to have secured sponsors for our mini footballs Carolina Pack N Go and to Chambers Auto & Fab for rubber ducks for the
Chuck A Duck! Chuck A Duck will be played during the basketball season, kids of all ages and families can test their skills by throwing their
ducks at the target. The closest to the target wins a cash prize!
In other updates, cheer was able to secure funds for a breakaway banner and wrestling was able to secure funds for a new wrestling mat
thanks to the help of the James Short family. The Spirit Week at Chick-fil-A raised $400, thank you for your support!
