A Word from the Athletic Director

Dear North Henderson Families and Students,
The transition from winter to spring sports is upon us! Be sure to come out and support all of our spring teams as they aim for greatness this year.
As spring sports are officially starting on February 12th, and we’re excited to see our athletes back in action! Whether you’re interested in
baseball, softball, track and field, men’s volleyball, men’s tennis, or golf, there’s a spot for you to get involved. For baseball, reach out to Coach
King; for softball, Coach Decker is your go-to; for track and field, Coach Sell or Coach Mains are ready to welcome you; for men’s volleyball, Coach
Moon is eager for this season; Coach Taylor is looking forward to this year’s tennis season; for women’s soccer Coach Randall is excited about this
season and Coach Parris is ready to guide golfers this season. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to be part of these exciting teams — sign up
today!
While we look forward to spring sports, let’s not forget about the winter sports teams who are finishing strong! With just a few weeks left in their
seasons, we encourage you to get out and support them as they compete in their final games and matches. Every cheer from the stands helps our
athletes give their best, so make sure to show up, make noise, and help our teams finish their seasons with pride.
We also want to take a moment to congratulate our women’s wrestling team for their outstanding performance in winning the conference! Their
hard work, dedication, and teamwork have earned them this well-deserved championship, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.
Their victory is a testament to what can be accomplished when athletes and coaches give their best every day. Kudos to the entire wrestling team
for making history this season!
Our Big Drawdown Fundraiser is fast approaching on March 1st, and it’s a crucial event to support all of our athletic
programs. The funds raised will go directly to enhancing our teams’ equipment, travel, and overall experiences. We
need your help in securing donations and making this event a success. As Coach Jim Valvano once said, “Don’t give up,
don’t ever give up.” Together, we can make a lasting impact on our athletes’ futures. Please consider donating and
supporting this fantastic cause! Go Knights!

Giving Thanks to our Donors

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our Premium sponsors—Pardee, Turf Mountain Sod, Horizon Heating & Air, Frank’s Hardscape, and Parks Ford—
for their exceptional support contribution, and dedication to our community. A special thank you to Parks Ford for their thoughtful teacher gifts at
the start of the school year. Additionally, we are grateful to our Gold sponsors—Bojangles, Apple Country Realty, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and
Mountain Credit Union—for their generous contributions and dedication to our community. Lastly, a big thanks to all the businesses supporting
North Henderson Athletics for their commitment and generosity.
Some of our Knight parent and guardian members likely work at companies that offer corporate giving programs, like matching gifts. Matching gifts
are an underused source of funding for nonprofits, including K-12 schools. When a parent or guardian whose employer has a matching gift program
donates to our school, they can contact their employer to get their gift matched.
This means you can effectively double the impact of your donations. If you are looking to donate to North, inquire about your employer’s matching
gift programs! K-12 schools must be included to qualify.

What is Boosters Club?

North Henderson High School Boosters Club’s mission is to foster an environment that inspires athletes, students, coaches, parents, and
the community to create a positive atmosphere for all NHHS athletic programs. Our focus is to help build strong moral character and
academic excellence in our student-athletes by promoting sportsmanship, personal responsibility, teamwork, community involvement, and
mentoring. We enrich the athletic programs at North Henderson High School by providing financial support through our parent volunteers,
members, sponsors, fundraising, and donations.
For Boosters to function, we need friends, family, and people like you to actively participate by giving some of your time and energy. It’s a
great way to meet other parents and support our students and NHHS. All are welcome! No experience is necessary! You can be a part of
Boosters even if you are unable to attend all meetings! Are you currently a Booster but would like to be more involved? Please reach out to
the president Sarah Tondra at northhendersonboosters@gmail.com if you are interested.
We would like to welcome our new member: Kari Love
As a reminder, we have an upcoming booster meeting on February 3rd & February 25th at 5:30 in the media center.
All are welcome. One Club – ALL Sports!
