Message from Mr. Moore – Week of 9/21-25/2020

Rugby words from the principal
Due to the age of this article, the information below could be outdated or incorrect.

Happy Monday, Rugby families!

This week, our bus drivers will be contacting the families of students riding buses to let them know when to expect their bus. If you intend to put your student on a bus and haven’t heard from the driver by Thursday afternoon, please contact the school.

Free Food!!

We are happy to share that all students will have the opportunity to eat breakfast and lunch at no charge until the end of December, 2020. Upon entering the building on students’ face-to-face day, they will be offered breakfast. They will also have the option to order a free lunch each day that they are present. Later this week, you will receive more information about school nutrition opportunities and the plan for distributing these meals. While this is the situation for all students currently, it expires at the end of December. To be prepared for that eventuality, please complete the meal benefits application form to be sure you are covered when the calendar turns to 2021.

Student Drop Off:

Due to our inability to allow large numbers to congregate (in the gym or cafeteria), students will report immediately to their RT upon arriving at school in the morning. Because of this, we must wait until 7:15-7:20 to open the doors for students. It is vital that you not drop your student prior to the screening procedures being completed. If your student is arriving by car, please do the following:
1) Pull as far forward as you can before stopping
2) Wait for an RMS employee to take your student’s temperature while still in the car.
3) Once the temperature is taken and acceptable, the student will exit the car and walk to the main door of the school (where he or she will be offered breakfast).
4) Student will immediately report to his/her RT where he/she can eat breakfast and wait for the school day to begin.

Daily Schedule:

Below is the daily schedule for RMS on Plan B. The top table below shows the schedule that virtual and face to face students will follow. The next table outlines the schedule for the afternoon for face to face students.
