6th Grade Orientation
We are excited to announce that we will be offering an optional face-to-face sixth grade orientation that students may attend in person or via a virtual program. For this program, we will be inviting new sixth graders into Rugby in three different groups.
Monday August 17, 2020– Students whose last names begin with A-G (other students do not need to report, either online or in person).
Tuesday, August 18, 2020– Students whose last names begin with H-O (other students do not need to report, either online or in person).
Wednesday, August 19, 2020– Students whose last names begin with P-Z (other students do not need to report, either online or in person).
Thursday, August 20, 2020– All students report to their virtual classes at 8:00 am.
6th Orientation Schedule
12:00-12:30- Parents drop students after screening protocols are met (temperature check, screening questions). Students are escorted to the proper classroom
12:30- Orientation Program Begins. Students will cover the following:
-Get to know you activity
-Reading and understanding the schedule
-Logging in to Gmail and Google Classrooms
-Google Meet Etiquette
2:30- Student Pick up
IMPORTANT
School staff will follow CDC the following recommended protocols for any students or visitors entering the building:
-students will have temperatures screened prior to parents dropping them off
-face coverings will be worn while in the building
-social distancing will be observed
