The HCPS calendar has been officially revised and approved by the school board. Please review the revised calendar for important changes. Two significant changes are that the January workdays that were originally scheduled for 1/21, 22/19 have been split. The revised calendar has those days split up to accommodate the new end of the first semester (1/25/19). Now, we will have an optional workday on 1/21/19 and a Required Workday on 1/28/19.
The middle of the school year is a great time to assess your student’s progress in his/her classes. Please stay abreast of your student’s progress through PowerSchool or by contacting teachers.
This is an extremely busy upcoming week, as rescheduled events have been folded into the already full schedule of extracurricular events. Our athletes are nearing the end of a successful winter sports season, and our Fine Arts programs are highlighting their excellence with upcoming concerts. Please take the chance to come see our students in action and support the Rugby family, even if your student is not participating.
In early to mid-February, tryouts will be held for Spring Sports (track, golf, softball, baseball, and girls soccer). Student athletes are required to have sports physicals to participate in tryouts. Make sure that your student has the Sports Physical packet filled out prior to tryouts. Students will not be allowed to participate in tryouts without a current physical.
