Ninth Avenue School

Hendersonville Middle School is very proud of its rich heritage! Before HMS was HMS, it was the Ninth Avenue School. In 2006, Mayor Greg Newman declared February 18th as Ninth Avenue School Day. We are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the day that honors our school history. To learn more about our history, please check out the Ninth Avenue website!

Student Council Book Drive

Hendersonville Middle School Student Council is collecting used children’s books for children ages 0 – 18 from February 1 to February 17 to support Smart Start’s early literacy programs.

Books will be used in a Children’s Book Sale on February 25th.

Proceeds from the sale are used to purchase new, age-appropriate books which are mailed to preschool children in Henderson County each month through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Please donate books in the Smart Start collection boxes that are located in the library, front office, and hallway downstairs by the elevator.

You are also invited to the book sale on Saturday, February 25th at Grace Lutheran Church.

Thank you for helping young children learn to love reading!
