We also offer leadership opportunities through regional and state competitions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>FFA<\/h2>\n<p><em>Future Farmers of America<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sponsor: Mr. Livingston<\/p>\n<p>Meetings: the 2nd or 3rd Tuesday of the month during the 1st half of 2nd period in room X-6.<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Helps develop leadership, teamwork, and financial responsibility while promoting agriculture. Members are involved in state FFA activities and participate in the Mountain State Fair.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>E-Sports<\/h2>\n<p>Sponsor: Mr. Horton and Mr. Chapman<\/p>\n<p>Meetings: Tuesdays after school<\/p>\n<p><strong>Playing games of all sorts. Promoting decorum and sportsmanship in a competitive gaming atmosphere.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>HOSA<\/h2>\n<p><em>Health Occupation Students of America<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sponsor: Mrs. Kelly Stepp<\/p>\n<p>Meetings: announced<\/p>\n<p>Cost: $25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must currently be enrolled\/registered to take class within the current year or have previously passed a Health Occupations class at West. For students who are interested in a future career as a healthcare professional. The club&#8217;s focus is to provide health-related leadership and service to the school and community.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Key Club<\/h2>\n<p>Sponsors: Ms. Edwards and Ms. Clark<\/p>\n<p>Meetings: every other Wednesday in Ms. Edward&#8217;s<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Club is an international student-led organization that provides it&#8217;s members with opportunities to change the world through acts of service. \u00a0Key club members are the leaders of tomorrow.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>SAGA<\/h2>\n<p>Sponsor: Autumne Lowe<\/p>\n<p>Meetings: Tuesdays mornings with Ms. Lowe<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAGA is a student-led organization that provides a welcoming and supportive space for LGBTQ+ students and allies to create connections, celebrate diversity, and promote inclusivity within our school community. All students are welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Sheepdog Club<\/h2>\n<p>Sponsors: Mrs. Baker<\/p>\n<p>Meetings: Tuesday mornings in Media Center at 7:20am<\/p>\n<p><strong>The WHHS Sheepdog Club is for those who want to reduce bullying in the school as well as help out members of our community, including law enforcement, first responders, firefighters, and the military. Our mission is to empower students to become skilled professionals, career-ready leaders and responsible community members.
