School Nurse Roles and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Assessment of children with acute illness<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • \n
    Case management for children with chronic illnesses, including training teachers or assistants to provide care for these students<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • Communicable disease control<\/li>\n
  • Dental referrals<\/li>\n
  • Develop emergency plans for children with severe or urgent health needs<\/li>\n

    First aid triage<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  • Follow up on injury reports<\/li>\n

    Help coordinate Health Fairs and follow up on abnormal findings<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Management of children with excessive absences<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Mental health referrals and counseling<\/div>\n<\/li>\n

    Monitor immunization compliance<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
