MARCHING BAND AND COLOR GUARD<\/strong><\/h2>\n

To 8th graders interested in marching band and color guard: don\u2019t forget to go to the marching mini camps today after school from 3:15 to 4:30. You will need to get on a bus and shuttle over to west and then afterwards you will be picked up at West by your parent. The camps are a free opportunity to try it out before you commit. The camps will be this Tuesday and Thursday and next Tuesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n

ART CLUB<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Art Club will NOT meet this week and is rescheduled to meet on Wednesday May 8th. If you signed up yesterday please be aware of this change.<\/p>\n

Artwork and photography for the upcoming art show will be accepted until this Friday. Please see Mrs. Johnson for more details.<\/p>\n

CHEERLEADING FOR RISING 9TH<\/sup>\u00a0GRADERS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rising 9th graders interested for trying out for West Henderson High School cheerleading should pick up a flyer from the Rugby Front office.\u00a0 All applications must be completed by May 15th.<\/p>\n

FINE ARTS NIGHT<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

Entries for the fine arts night art show and photography show will be taken until May 3rd.<\/p>\n

Entries for the art show must be on good quality art paper, not wrinkled, and well presented. Anime and digital art will not be considered for this show.<\/p>\n

Entries for the photography show should be either emailed to Mrs. Johnson at Mrjohnson@hcpsnc.org<\/a> or given to Mrs. Johnson on a flash drive. Digitally enhanced photographs will be accepted. There is a limit to five entries per student.<\/p>\n

Winner and prizes will be distributed on Fine Arts Night.<\/p>\n

RUGBY CHORUS CLUB<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

Rugby Chorus Club will meet Wednesday from 3-4pm in Mrs. Denton\u2019s room. Everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n

STUDENT COUNCIL<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

The student council campus cleanup has been rescheduled for Friday, May 3.<\/p>\n

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONORS SOCIETY<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\n

The National Junior Honors Society is a prestigious organization.\u00a0 Membership is now open to 6th<\/sup>, 7th<\/sup>, & 8th<\/sup>\u00a0grade students who meet the required standards in scholarship, leadership, citizenship, character and service.<\/p>\n

If you are interested, please pick up a yellow application in the main office.\u00a0 Applications are due by 3:30 on Monday, May 6th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Absolutely no late applications will be accepted.<\/p>\n
