Marlow Monday Message, May 16th, 2022

Henderson County Public Schools News

Good evening Glenn Marlow parents and students, this is John Hart with your Marlow Monday Message on this Monday, May 16th, 2022. Last week was so much fun with two amazing Field Days for our Buckaroos, and then on Friday, we had the Marlow graduating Senior Class of 2022 walk the hallways to the cheers of our current Buckaroos and teachers, in what has become a wonderful tradition for all. We look forward to seeing all of our current Buckaroos do the same thing in many years to come. #OnceAMustangAlwaysAMustang. Congratulations, Senior Class of 2022!

Here is this week’s Marlow Monday Message:

  • The 2021 – 2022 Marlow yearbooks were distributed on Friday to those students that purchased one, and man o’ man, what an awesome yearbook it is! A big Marlow shout-out to our Yearbook Committee: Ms. Outman, Ms. Hogan, Ms. McMinn, and Ms. Cavanaugh! They did a fantastic job, and it shows! Unfortunately, we do not have any extra copies for sale this year, so if you did miss out on purchasing one, remember to order one next year. Great job, Marlow Yearbook Committee!
  • As we wrap up the end of the year, our Media Coordinator has asked me to remind all students and parents that any overdue library books are due back to Media Center no later than Friday, May 27th.
  • We have had a great response so far to our final service project of the year, again teaming up with Interfaith Assistance Ministries in Hendersonville to host a Non-Perishable Food Drive! Remember, the winning class from each grade level will receive a Snow Cone party, courtesy of our PTO. As of Friday, here were the GL leaders:
    • KI – Smith
    • 1st – Dale
    • 2nd – English
    • 3rd – Clark
    • 4th – Malaquin-Prey
    • 5th – Beam
    • Now, from what I saw today, that leaderboard is definitely in jeopardy with some of those classes. This is the last week! Let’s all finish #MARLOWSTRONG!
  • Oh my goodness, Lost and Found is out of control! Please remind your child to look through it on a daily basis, especially if something leaves the house in the morning, and does not come home.
  • Don’t forget that this Thursday is our last Marlow Spirit Day…It’s Vacay Day! That’s right, dress up like you are on vacation…whether at the beach, the mountains, on a cruise… whatever your best vacation attire is, let us see it! Let’s make this last Spirit Day a great one!

Now down to three weeks remaining of school, please see this calendar of events from now till the end of the year to be sure that you don’t miss out. It will be updated weekly as more details and events finalized:
