Henderson County Public Schools News

Good evening Glenn Marlow parents and students, this is John Hart with your Marlow Monday Message on this Monday, January 3rd, 2022. Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a safe, healthy, and relaxing holiday break. We are excited to have students back in the building tomorrow, seeing their smiling faces, and hearing their awesome holiday stories! We are excited about what 2022 will bring us, and we look forward to witnessing the amazing things that our Buckaroos will accomplish! Marlow Together, we can make 2022 a great year for us all! Let’s do great things!!

Here is this week’s Marlow Monday Message:

  • As stated by Dr. Bryant, masks are now optional for all students, staff, and visitors during the school day, except for students who are riding a school bus or attending PSAM/PSPM. With these two exceptions, masks are still required.
    • With this new policy taking effect tomorrow, I am asking that all parents make sure that their students are healthy and feeling good before sending them to school tomorrow. This can include taking their temperature in the morning, and asking if they have a headache, sore throat, runny nose, or cough. Please be mindful if they are not feeling well and keep them home.
    • If you have any questions or concerns regarding your childs health, please call our school nurse, Krista Nelson, at school at 828-654-3225. As always, thank you for your help as we look to keep our students in school during this unprecedented time.
  • Have you signed up for our PTO AmazonSmile account yet? Last quarter, they received a check for $139.30, and that amount will keep going up with the more people that sign up, so sign up today!
  • New for 2022, Glenn Marlow Elementary now has an Instagram account! Follow us @glennmarlowmustangs to see cool stuff happening in and around school, read about student and staff shout-outs, and get informed with HCPS district messaging. Follow us on Instagram today!
  • Here is a message from Justin McKenzie, Athletic Director at Rugby Middle School:
