Marlow Monday Message, October 26th, 2020

Henderson County Public Schools News

Good Monday evening Glenn Marlow families! I hope everyone had a great weekend as we are looking forward to welcoming back all of our in-person 3rd graders on Thursday, Oct. 29! It is hard to believe that we are in the last week of October, and in normal times, prepping for and enjoying our annual Pumpkin Lighting event. Although we are unable to have Pumpkin Lighting this year, we hope it will be back in full swing next year. Let’s finish October on a high note!

Here is this week’s Marlow Monday Message:

  • Boo! Halloween is coming, and the Marlow family wants to celebrate with you! Join us for a drive-thru Trick-or-Treat this Friday, October 30. Come through the front entrance any time between 5:30 and 7:00, dressed in your finest costumes and buckets ready! Cars coming into the front entrance will be yielded to one lane through the circle, so please stay alert of the traffic flow. There will also be a coin drive, so start collecting your change. The grade level with the most change collected will be rewarded We can’t wait to see you there! At this time, no more candy is needed for this event. Thank you all for the donations we have received. We have plenty!
  • The Marlow Fall Scholastic Book Fair has moved online! That’s right, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Fall Scholastic will be all virtual this year. Beginning Monday, November 2nd, Marlow families can visit the Online Book Fair website and shop for their favorite books! The Marlow Virtual Scholastic Book Fair goes through Sunday, November 15th.
  • Picture Day is coming! Once again, due to COVID-19 restrictions and Plan B attendance restrictions, Fall pictures will be administered over two days. Mark your calendar for Thursday, November 5th and Friday, November 6th. For our Remote Learning Only students, we invite you come and have your picture taken after school, from 3:30 – 5:00 pm, in the Gym using the Gym entrance. If you do not feel comfortable coming in to school to have your picture taken, you may submit a portrait to our Picture Coordinator, Monica Outman at Picture ordering information to follow, but please go ahead and mark your calendars today!!
  • 2020 – 2021 Marlow Yearbook order forms are being sent home this week. All yearbook orders are online this year. Please see the flyer below for more details. Order your Marlow Yearbook today!
  • A reminder to all parents that next Tuesday, November 3rd, there is no school for students, virtual or in-person. It is an Optional Teacher Workday.

Thank you for all you do to make Marlow a great place to learn and grow!

Have a great night!
