5th Annual Mother’s Day Market<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Visit the farm on Saturday, May 9 from 10 AM – 4 PM for this popular outdoor craft fair. 30 crafters will be on site with a range of homemade items for purchase. The farm’s gardeners will have plants for sale, and visitors can purchase hot dog meals to benefit the farm. The Heritage Weavers & Fiber Artists will have demonstrators showing their crafts, and the farm house will be open for self-guided tours. Art students from the Innovative High School will have an art show in the Interpretive Center, and the 6 teachers participating in this year’s Food & Farm grant program will be displaying their students’ work.<\/p>\n

Summer Farm & Arts Camps<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Historic Johnson Farm will once again offer Farm & Arts Camps for two weeks during the summer from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM each day. Campers will participate in a number of different activities relating to the farm, arts, the environment, and more! The week will culminate in a showcase Friday afternoon where campers will share their creations and learnings with family and friends. Campers should bring a snack and lunch each day. Limited space, so sign up now!<\/a><\/p>\n

What:\u00a0 Farm & Arts Camp
\nWhen: Choose 1: Week #1: June 1-5 or Week #2: June 22-26 from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM each day
\nWho: Current kindergarteners-5th graders (roughly ages 6-11).
\nWhere: Historic Johnson Farm. 3346 Haywood Road, Hendersonville, NC 28791
\nHow much: Tiered pricing available ranging from $150-$250 (more information on registration form)<\/p>\n

We will offer an extended day option from 2:30-5:00 PM Monday-Thursday for $60. Please mark on the registration if you would like to sign up for extended day.<\/p>\n

Middle School Farm Camp<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Middle School Camp will be held July 6-10. Campers will participate in a number of different activities relating to the farm, arts, environment, and more! On Friday, campers will offer tours of the farm to family and friends.\u00a0 For two days, we will be off-site at two local sites. We will transport campers in a Henderson County Public Schools bus. Campers should bring a snack and lunch each day of camp. Sign up now, space is limited!<\/a><\/p>\n

Junior Interpreters: Year-round<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Junior Interpreters meet once a month after school to help out around the farm. They also help with our special events throughout the year and serve as junior counselors for the day camps. If you are interested in being added to the email list for the group, please email jfarm@hcpsnc.org. You do not have to attend every meeting-just the ones when you can!<\/p>\n
