For the past 18 years I have had the honor of working in Instructional Technology at the district level. I came on board as the first Instructional Technology Facilitator in HCPS and my role has expanded and grown as the years have passed.\u00a0 For 13 of these years, I have been able to collaborate with my awesome partner, Angie McClung, and we have become known collectively as the “@Team” by many. I think our boss, Rick Fender, actually coined that term because we were a dynamic duo! I am so proud of the work we have accomplished to support and grow technology integration throughout our district. I am confident that she will continue our program, making it even stronger and more effective!<\/p>\n
Now I am starting a new journey. On July 26th I will begin a new chapter of my career with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, starting a new position as the Content Development Lead for the Rethink Education Program. This grant-funded program was designed to strengthen remote learning instruction, content, and access throughout the entire state of North Carolina. I am excited to start on this new journey, expanding my support role and continuing to strengthen instruction across our state.<\/p>\n
