Tardy Protocol
Parents, please remember that if your child is late to school, an adult has to walk them into the office to properly check-in tardy. There are consequences for excessive tardies. Please be sure you have reviewed our FRMS Tardy Protocol.

CELEBRATION!
We are SO proud of our Eagles!
The state released our 2025–20266 accountability results this week (EOG results), and Flat Rock Middle School has so much to celebrate!
- Exceeded Growth (Increased by more than 11 EVAAS growth points from the previous year)
- Improved our NC School Report Card grade
- Every single student subgroup met or exceeded growth!
These results reflect the hard work of our students, staff, and families. We are proud of the progress we’ve made… and even more excited about where we’re headed! Thank you for your support as we continue to WIN! GO EAGLES!
Apple Festival Parking
This Apple Festival weekend, we have two parking lots at the Apple Festival where you can support our school and our students.
Park in our FRMS Lot at Packard Cabinetry! Packard Cabinetry is located at 416 S King St. Parking will cost $10.00 and all proceeds go to our FRMS Athletics program and Eagle Outlook parent group.
Park in our FRMS Boys Soccer Lot at Century 21 Connected! Century 21 Connected is located at 136 S King St Ste E. Parking will cost $10.00 and all proceeds go to our FRMS Boys Soccer program.

Chromebooks
Chromebooks will begin to be available for students to use this coming week. In order for your child to be assigned their Chromebook, they must have…
- A parent/guardian complete the Chromebook User Agreement. 29% of our students currently do not have a signed Chromebook User Agreement.
- Paid the $10 annual HCPS technology fee.
- Paid any outstanding bills for Chromebook damage during previous school years.
If one or more of these conditions is not met, the student will not be permitted to use their Chromebook. Currently, 72% of our students have not completed one or more of these requirements. Therefore, 72% of our students are not eligible to use their Chromebook at this time. PLEASE get these items completed.
We highly encourage parents to complete the form and pay any fees so that students can access class instruction. Our teachers incorporate 21st-century tools to extend instruction and learning beyond the classroom. They would like to begin that instruction this upcoming week.

What a Great Start at The Rock!
We couldn’t have asked for a better first three days of school! Our students have done an outstanding job arriving on time, coming to school ready to learn, engaging in their classrooms, and showing great behavior throughout the building.
