Effective school improvement planning contributes to overall school performance by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing an understanding of the \u201cbig picture\u201d of a school&#8217;s current state, including student achievement, school environment, teacher community, parent community, and administrative issues;<\/li>\n<li>Reaching consensus across the school community on which needs represent the highest priorities for action based upon the potential to improve overall student and school performance; and<\/li>\n<li>Identifying for implementation goals and strategies, including specific targets, indicators and milestones required to address the school priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Atkinson School Improvement Team will be meeting once a month on Monday afternoons.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center; style=\"font-size: 1.25rem;\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hendersoncountypublicschoolsnc.org\/district\/about-us\/school-improvement-plans\/\">Atkinson Elementary School&#8217;s School Improvement Plan<\/a><\/h2>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Atkinson School Improvement\u00a0Team School improvement planning provides a mechanism for identifying needs and establishing a common approach to meeting those needs at the school level.
