Robotics Competition Season has begun!  Henderson County Robotics team is competing in Blacksburg, Virginia this weekend – March 4th.

Though the team encompasses students from all Henderson County High Schools, West students proudly make up the bulk of the team.  They are competing at UNCA March 18 and 19, so you will have a chance to catch them locally.  What is a Robotics Competition?  Under strict rules, limited resources, and an intense time limit, teams of students are challenged to raise funds, design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game against like-minded competitors.

Research and robotics programs can help our students become science and technology leaders, as well as well-rounded contributors to society.

Good Luck HCPS Robotics Team!
