Chefs Move to Schools

Gretchen Schott Cummins will be our first guest chef on Monday, February 27th.  She will be teaching a cooking lesson using sweet potatoes, our state vegetable, to garden club students.

Due to our commitment to incorporating local food cooking lessons and Farm to School into our curriculum, our school received one of 40 cooking kits from the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project and Partnership for a Healthier America. The cooking kits were donated by All-Clad, Anchor Hocking, T-Fal, Tru Bamboo, and Zyliss.

Stay tuned for other visits from guest chefs featuring vegetables and herbs from the Upward Edible Garden!
