Rollout of Say Something
I want to revisit the rollout of Say Something. While we will have a learning curve with this new system, it will provide our students with a way to report their concerns discreetly. Before the end of the work day on Monday, we had received our first tip, and it illustrated beautifully the potential of the program. For parents or students who would prefer not to download the app, the Say Something website linked here provides students with the same ability to report concerns. Please encourage your students to use this as needed to help keep everyone safe.
HCPS Middle School Baseball Kickoff
The HCPS Middle School Baseball Kickoff at Berkeley Park originally scheduled for this Saturday (2/22/2020) has been postponed until next Saturday, 2/29/2020.
Spring Sports
We will begin spring sports competition late next week. Just a reminder that baseball will play home games at Berkeley Park, while softball and soccer will play on campus. Our track teams will hold their home meets at West Henderson High School. Also, please note that through March 5, soccer/baseball/softball will begin their contests at 4:00 pm, not 4:30.
8th Grade Parents
For any parents of 8th grade students who will be attending the Mountains to Sea trip, there will be a Mandatory Parent Meeting on Tuesday, March 3 in our Cafeteria. We recognize this is currently a Teacher Workday, but other scheduling issues have limited the days when we can hold this meeting. If you are unable to attend on March 3, please contact the school.

Our March Reading Raiders is a joint venture with the Henderson County Public Library. Along with the library, we will host Jennifer A. Nielsen as we focus on her book, A Night Divided. She will present at 6:15 pm in the main branch of the public library in Hendersonville, and the public is welcome.
