Good evening Glenn Marlow parents and students, this is John Hart with your Marlow Monday Message for Monday, May 27th. We hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend, and from all of us at Glenn Marlow Elementary, we want to say ‘thank you’ to all servicemen and women who sacrificed their lives to bless our lives with peace and joy.  We honor those brave men and women for their spirit and love for our country. Because of your service, we are indeed the land of the free, and the home of the brave.  Thank you!

Here is this week’s news and upcoming events:

Calling all test proctors!  Calling all test proctors!   End-of-Grade assessments for Grades 3-5 are scheduled for June 4th – 6th, and June 10th, and we need you! All testing will take place in the morning, and last through lunch.   If you are able to help out any of those days, please contact Brandi Delancey, our PTO Volunteer Coordinator, or Jo Pittman, our Testing Coordinator, for more information.  A sign-up link for test proctors can be found here as well as on our school website.  As of Monday, May 27th, here is where we stand so far:

  • June 4: 7 of 27 (20 more proctors still needed)
  • June 5: 7 of 25 (18 more proctors still needed)
  • June 6: 4 of 8 (4 more proctors still needed)
  • June 10: 3 of 9 (6 more proctors still needed)
  • June 12: 2 of 5 (3 more proctors still needed)

Parents, if you have any student cafeteria charges that are unpaid, please try and have them paid as soon as possible.  Students are no longer allowed to charge for school meals, breakfast or lunch. Thank you for your help with this..

All library books need to be returned to the Media Center by this Friday, May 31st.  Please help your child make sure every book they have checked out is accounted for and returned by then.  Materials that are lost or damaged must be paid for before the end of school.

Tuesday, June 4th – G3–G5 Math EOG
Wednesday, June 5th – G3-G5 ELA EOG
Monday, June 10th – G5 Science EOG
Tuesday, June 11th – Kindergarten Graduation – 10am in the Gym
Tuesday, June 11th – ‘Step Up to Third Grade’ for Rising G3 parents – 1:30pm in the Theater
Thursday, June 13th – G3/G4 Honor Roll Recognition Ceremony – 5:30pm (Gym)
Friday, June 14th – Last day of School (Noon Dismissal) 5th Grade Graduation – 8:30am in the Gym
