Marlow Monday Message, November 19th, 2018

Henderson County Public Schools News

Good evening Glenn Marlow parents and students, this is John Hart with your Marlow Monday message on this Monday, November 19th.   I hope everyone had a great weekend, and are looking forward to the Thanksgiving break.

Here is this week’s news and upcoming events:

– We had an enormous crowd here at Marlow for Thanksgiving lunch last Thursday over 520 meals were served!  Thank you to all of our K-2 parents who came out, and A huge Marlow ‘SHOUT OUT ‘ to Ms. Robin Bryans, our cafeteria manager, and her crew on the amazing job they did to get it all prepared and served.   Thank you as well to the many parents that came to volunteer,  helping visitors sign in, take tickets, or help serve that day.  Your help and time is ALWAYS appreciated!

– Wow!  Our Turkey Trot Food Drive was a great success.  We had so much fun watching our “Turkeys Trot” toward our goals! Each grade level was challenged to provide 100 items.  As a school, we collected almost 700 food items! We will be able to provide meals for all our Backpack Bunch families for Thanksgiving and the longer holiday break in December! We are so thankful for the generosity of our Marlow Family!  Thank you so much!!!

– As stated earlier, we had a wonderful time at our Thanksgiving Lunch for our K-2 parents, and as we look ahead to hosting our 3-5 parents for Christmas lunch. Please mark your calendar for Wednesday, December 12th as the date for the Christmas lunch.  Thank you.

– Don’t forget to visit the Lost and Found, located at the Gym entrance. This time of year, our lost and found grows by leaps and bounds because of the cold mornings and warm afternoons.  Please check to see if any articles of clothing belong to your family.  Thank you in advance.

Thank you for all that you do to help make Glenn Marlow an AMAZING school.  Have a great night, and a wonderful Thanksgiving Break.
