*June 13: Stories and Ice Cream 10:30 AM

Come enjoy ice cream and listen to Cherokee storyteller, Virginia Blackfeather Thompson, tell stories. $10 per family.

*June 15: Docent Training 11:30 AM

Historic Johnson Farm is looking for volunteer docents to help lead house tours for the public and for school groups. This training will help familiarize volunteers with the history of the farm and will provide material on giving house tours. For new and returning docents. Please call the farm at 828-891-6585 or email to RSVP.

*June 20: Grand and Me 10:30 AM

Grandparents bring your grandchildren for a fun morning at the farm. Children will play games and enjoy an old schoolhouse lesson while the adults take a tour of the farm house. Then everyone will come together for a wagon ride and ice cream. $10 per family.

*July 11: Teddy Bear Tea 10:30 AM

Children bring their stuffed animals for a teddy bear tea. Snacks, drinks, parachute play, and stories are included. $3 per child, adults are free. Space is limited, so please RSVP.

*July 13: Nora Brooks Historical Presentations 11:30 AM

Meet the husband and father behind the great general Robert E. Lee through the eyes of his youngest daughter, Mildred.  The performance is biographical in content, fully researched and presented with humor, drama and passion.  Nora presents in full period dress and thrills to interact with the audience.  Questions on the characters, life of the soldier, military events and the era in general are welcomed and lead to lively discussions about the many facets of this time in American history. Audiences of all ages will enjoy this step back in time.  $5 adults, $3 students.

*August 16: End of Summer Bash 1:00 PM

Come celebrate the end of summer with Historic Johnson Farm! Games, wagon rides, popcorn and lemonade. Bring a picnic lunch to eat beforehand. FREE!
