Welcome to the Hendersonville Elementary PTO page!
Hello Cubcat Families,
Thank you to all the families that came out to the Sk8 Depot Spirit Day on Tuesday. We had a great time, and left very impressed with your skating abilities!! If you liked the idea of having spirit day activities like the one at Sk8 Depot, please let us know about other ideas you may have. We earned $55 just for having fun with our friends, so it was a win win!
The FALL BOOK FAIR is coming on Fri, 9/8– Wed, 9/13. By supporting the Book Fair, you help the school’s library earn up to 30% of proceeds to purchase new books and equipment for our students. But it can’t happen without your help, so if you are interested in volunteering, please do so at the following link: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bookfairs/cptoolkit/homepage.do?method=homepage&url=hendersonvilleelemschool2. Mrs. Greedy says THANK YOU!
Mark your calendars for the FALL BLOOD DRIVE on Tuesday, September 12 from 8:30am-1:30pm. EARN GIFT CARDS for yourself and for HES while saving lives! FREE $10 Walmart Gift Card to all donors and a $10 Walmart Gift Card to HES PER DONOR!! To make an appointment, click on the following link: https://donate.thebloodconnection.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/106725.
We have heard from many of you that you love the new spirit rock, but you say you would gladly pay extra to have it done for you. Well, we have good news….for an additional $25 donation, we have several very artistic parent volunteers that are willing to make that happen for you! Simply visit the MySchoolAnywhere online Store, select the Cubcat Cornerstone date you are interested in, and then add the PAINT MY ROCK add-on option. You will have 3 message options, several background design options, and you can choose up to 4 colors. And then we take care of the rest!
Thanks to your generosity, we are off to a great start in hitting our fundraising goal this year…but what if we could double your donation?! Thanks to a very insightful parent and employee at Borg Warner, it has been brought to our attention that some of us work at corporations and businesses that have Employee Donation Match programs established. Examples include: Most pharmaceutical companies, Allstate, Bank of America, BB&T, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Belk, Borg Warner, Duke Power, Eaton, First Citizens, GE, Harris Teeter, Home Depot, Kimberly-Clark, Lowes, Progress Energy, UPS, Wal-Mart, and Yamaha. For a more inclusive list, please see NC Companies with Employee Matching Programs. If you or one of your family members has contirbuted to HES, and works at one of these companies, please ask your HR department for the matching request form and we will take care of the rest. Even if your company or place of business is not listed, please ask your employer about potential matching opportunities. Thank you!!
Have a wonderful week!
