Our 1st Graders Give Back to the Community

On Wednesday, December 14, our first grade classes visited Universal Health Care on Airport Road to share Christmas joy.

The students sang three songs “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer”, “Deck the Halls”, and “Jingle Bells”. Smiles filled the room as sweet first grade voices began to blend. One resident smiled and commented about, “how sweet” the students were as others cried from joy. Our students also shared handmade Christmas cards that they made for the residents.

To share a card, each child shook hands with a resident, introduced themselves and shared what they had written.

Friendships were made, fellowship was shared and the students had fun giving the gift of Christmas joy to others. To conclude the visit, students sang “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” with a twist of “Feliz Navidad” added to the end.

As a grade level, we wished the residents of Universal Healthcare a Merry Christmas and concluded our visit will hearts full of joy and gladness of serving others.
