School Health Advisory Council (SHAC)

The School Health Advisory Council serves as an advisory committee regarding student health issues. The council is composed of school district, local health department and community representatives to provide information in the following areas:  safe environment, physical education, health education, staff wellness, health services, mental and social health, nutrition services and parent/family involvement.

 

SHAC meets the second Tuesday of every month at the Central office, 414 4th ave W Hendersonville,  in meeting room 1A at 3:30. These meetings are open to the public. For more information on how you can be a part of SHAC,  please contact Amanda Stansbury at arstansbury@hcpsnc.org
