Summer 2019 Meal Resources

Healthy food composition background with "summer meal resources" text

With the shared goal of serving the health and wellness of local students and families, Henderson County Public Schools collaborates with local community partners to serve the need of families facing food insecurity over the summer. Below is a list of the public summer feeding sites operated by HCPS  and local organizations, providing meals to children ages 2-18 at no cost to families.

HCPS operates its four public feeding sites, as well as 28 closed feeding sites at each elementary school and youth service organizations through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Summer Food Service Program.

For additional community resources compiled by the N.C. Coalition to End Homelessness’ Southern Mountains Regional Committee, view the Additional Community Feeding Resources flyer (folleto de Recursos Adicionales de Alimentación Comunitaria).
