The results are in!

Last week, we asked for the public’s input on make up days via an online survey.  As of February 17th, we needed to make up one additional school day on the Traditional Calendar and asked whether parents/students/staff preferred to go to school for half a day (dismiss at noon) on Monday, May 30, 2016, Memorial Day or attend school for half a day (dismiss at noon) on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

The majority of the 8,000+ respondents to our “make up day” survey voted to make up the necessary school day on the Traditional Calendar by taking a half day on Memorial Day. The updated Traditional Calendar is online here.

We also asked if more days are missed, would it be preferable to make the day(s) up by using Spring Break (March 28 – April 1) or on a Saturday? Most respondents voted to have school on Saturdays rather than during Spring Break.
